Payment Terms, Arrival & Departure
We are now taking bookings for 2009 and beyond; our latest availability is shown below.
We normally operate on an occupancy week that runs from Saturday to Saturday, and costs for these weeks are shown alongside our availability, and on our online purchase page.
Outside of peak periods however, we can be more flexible in offering long weekends or other part-week deals. Please contact us for long weekend requests and quotes.
If a letting hasn't sold by a week prior to entry date, we will usually auction it on our eBay site.
Payment Terms
A
25% deposit is required on booking to secure the
reservation. Until deposit payment has cleared, reservations are only provisional. For bookings made within two weeks of the date of stay, full payment is required immediately.
Acceptable payment methods are:
- Electronic bank transfer (account details available on request);
- Paypal and credit card payments;
- Cheque made payable to ‘E. L. Griffiths’;
- Cash on arrival (short notice lettings only).

We have recently set up online purchasing for all available weeks in the year ahead, so that guests have the convenient option of securely paying via PayPal or major credit cards through our website. Click here to access our 'Online Purchase' page.
On completion of a reservation, we will send a confirmation and invoice. Paper copies of our Visitor Information booklet can also be posted on request.
The remaining balance must be paid in full two weeks prior to entry date. Non-payment by this period will forfeit the booking.
Note that since removal of the old electricity coin meter, for weekly lettings below a value of £300 in 2008, and all lettings from 2009 onwards, we charge additional for the metered electricity used.
Guests will be met at the cottage at a mutually pre-agreed arrival time for general welcome and orientation. The
earliest arrival time for normal Saturday change-over is 2pm;
this allows us time to prepare the cottage for incoming
guests.
